Labeed Hamid is the founder and president of MEMC – a company established in 1980 to provide professional services to the business community in the Middle East by assisting clients in managing change, improving business performance, and maximizing the potential of their human resources.
Labeed and his team work in partnership with their clients to design and deliver customized solutions in the areas of talent management, executive education and training, HR function improvement and leadership development.
MEMC Clients are based in the Gulf and Turkey and span wide industry sectors including financial institutions, oil and chemical industries, telecom and pharmaceuticals . They include many of the regions top companies such as Kuwait Oil Company, Saudi Telecom, Itisalat, Qatar Telecom, Omantel, Dubai Duty Free, Emaar, Turkcell, Almansoori , Banque Saudi Fransi, ExxonMobil, and Merck Sharpe & Dohme.
Labeed’s career was devoted to the development of future leaders and managers. Prior to the establishing MEMC, he worked for the American Management Association, Management Centre Europe in Brussels and The Centre for Consultancy and Training in Baghdad. He is the co-founder and member of the board of Management Centre Turkey in Istanbul and one of the founder members of Future Work Forum. Labeed is also a member of the International Council of the American Management Association – New York.
Labeed obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees from California State University in Los Angeles.
