Hive17, People First Work Cultures
Tim advocates for people-first work cultures rooted in compassion and solid relationships, believing these are the drivers of stronger financial business results. His expertise spans highly effective teams, cultural change, leadership development, strategy execution, cross-cultural competencies, operational excellence, and post-merger integration.

As a change management professional, Tim Wieringa was a driving force in transformations across operational excellence, innovation, product development, strategy execution, and leadership development. He views change management as the essential ‘people side’ of doing business. Today, his focus is on establishing People-First Work Cultures and working with leadership teams to build highly effective teams founded on compassion and connectedness. He firmly believes that humanistic leadership is the key to an organisation’s lasting success.

Tim’s professional background covers multiple sectors, including building materials (Holcim, Sika), manufacturing (Huntsman, Siemens, Saab, Jungheinrich, Pentax Medical), financial services (Deutsche Bank, OCBC), and service industries (Viseo). Starting in Switzerland, his career expanded in 2005 to a diverse exposure across Asia-Pacific: he has lived in Shanghai and Singapore and has significant work experience with the cultures of Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. He is the founder and People Transformational Director at Hive17, a Singapore-based boutique advisory specialising in the intersection of change management, leadership team development, and emerging technologies.
