Alain Haut

Based in Switzerland

Alain Haut has a Master’s degree in Economics and in Social Sciences from the University Notre-Dame de la Paix in Namur (Belgium), completed by post-grade studies in Business Administration at Warwick University (United-Kingdom). He received an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from the Swiss School of Higher Education in Montreux (Switzerland).

Before moving into management consulting and higher education, Alain Haut completed a 35 years’ career in business, with increasing international responsibilities, first in industry with Federal-Mogul, Valenite and GTE, and afterwards in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology with Serono, Covance and Ipsen. In those last two companies, he was global Head of Human Resources reporting directly to the Group President.

In all those Human Resources positions, Alain’s priority focus was to be a contributing and integrated partner in the business strategy and management of companies he worked for.

Alain also enjoyed positions in Quality, Project, Facilities and General management. Alain lived and worked in Belgium, United-Kingdom, Switzerland, United States, France and Greece.

A certified Coach and Transition manager, Alain consults in the fields of Performance management, Leadership, Change management, Cross-cultural management as well as all aspects of Human Resources management, specifically in Talent management, Executive evaluation and recruitment.

On the academic side of higher education, (Adjunct/Visiting) Professor Haut teaches International Business Management, Leadership, Human Resources Management as well as Cross-cultural Management in six private Business Schools in Switzerland, France and Ukraine. Alain Haut is also an ECBE/ENQA accreditation reviewer and served as a corporate Peer Reviewer for EFMD EQUIS and EPAS accreditations.

For many years, Alain Haut is refereeing junior league and is a table official for top league basketball in Switzerland.
